Myanmar hosts several unique golf courses, most of them built by the British during early 1900s. Although, these courses have been around for a long time, they are still kept in excellent playable condition.
Established in 1909, Yangon golf club is simply one of the best courses not only because of it's attractive layout amidst the trees and rolling hills, but also for it's glorious historical background. This challanging 18 hole is a regular host for the Asian PGA tour.
Pun Hlaing is home to the finest golf course in Myanmar designed by Gary Player and established in 2000. This course operates superbly maintained 18 holes and one of the best greens in Myanmar.
A fairly new 36 hole golf course. The Silvery course was established in 1994 with wider fairways and fairly large greens to suit players of all skill-levels.
This golf course is surely an oasis in the dry zone, sporting relaxing gardens next to 11th century ruins and the Ayeyarwaddy river stretching out beyond the horizon. The 18 hole Bagan golf resort wanders in between some of the ancients pagodas.
Built in the valley of the Northern hills, this golf course challenges the golfer. It has a long and narrow fairway, and small but quick running greens.
The Ayetharyar golf resort is perfectly set up amidst the Shan Plateau. Established in 1995, this course has a beautiful scenery with perfectly cut Bhamuda grass over large green grass.
I'd like to tell you that we had a wonderful time in Myanmar and all travel arrangements were perfect...
