Credit cards are not common in Myanmar yet, but some of high end hotels, restaurants and other venues may accept credit cards. We can accept deposit payment from your credit card. Please contact us for more detail information.
Traveler Cheques are not generally accepted in Myanmar.
If you are planning your own arrangement then you will have to bring enough cash for your trip. If you are planning your trip using a travel agent, you can transfer fund by mean of telegraphic transfer via your bank in advance. Make sure that you have enough cash for your personal use as it will be rather cumbersome if you run out of cash during your visit.
Standard hotel, combination of air and surface transportation, admission fees and local meals will cost you around USD 100 per person per day with out additional money for shopping.
The local currency used is called Kyat (pronounced “chat”). For abbreviations, use as Ks. Current (un-official) exchange rate around 1200 Ks. for 1 USD.
